Overview of
Services and Meetings
at Christian Science Churches

There are three regular services or meetings at Christian Science Churches and you are welcome to attend any of them. They are the Sunday Service, Sunday School (for anyone younger than 20 years old), and the Wednesday Evening Testimony Meeting and each is one hour long. Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, and the author of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, ordained the King James version of the Bible and Science and Health as the pastor for The Mother Church and all its branches.

Services are conducted by lay persons, known as Readers and elected from the congregation. Each of the Silicon Valley churches included on this web site is a branch of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Christian Scientists frequently refer to this church in Boston as The Mother Church. Services in every branch follows the same format but may start at different times. Please refer to the individual church listing for each churches hours.
